Sample Size:

Samples are a great option for trying out a new material, color or when comparing different testing parameters of similar options. Samples vary in weight as different materials have different densities and generally range from 15-40 grams as packaged from Poland.

Key Features:

  • Unbreakable- extreme toughness and durability makes Fiberlogy nylon best suited for prints requiring strength and durability that hold up over time/continual use, while offering flexibility (gears, rollers, skate board wheels, etc.)
  • The high flexibility of Nylon PA12 makes it a great option for prints with thin walls where strength and flexibility are both required
  • Nylon PA12 is best defined by its ability to withstand wear and tear whereas ABS is better known for its strength
  • Engineered and created in Poland using highly specialized machinery and raw materials

Evolution of Durability

Inspired by the desire for a filament with extreme durability, flexibility and printability, Fiberlogy engineers created Nylon PA12.

Thanks to its resistance to high temperatures, alcohol and chemicals, Nylon is particularly useful for mechanical and technical applications. It is extremely durable, strong and unbreakable.

It is easily machined with tools designed for metal processing and it is also easily painted, which makes it even more versatile and functional.

It is incredibly flexible - it expands by 50% before it breaks. Note that Nylon PA12 is not resistant to concentrated alkalis and acids.

Nylon is a more advanced printing material, and like any material it can take some time getting prints just right. Having said that many of the benefits of Nylon PA12 are far beyond anything achievable with more basic materials.

Printing Ideas and Applications:

Mechanical Parts: guides, gears (cog wheels)
